  • Business Development Manager (014) / UK

    About the role
    This opportunity will see you join Swiss Appraisal that is growing at an exceptional rate, with exposure to high calibre clients and the Swiss Appraisal's network throughout the world. You will be part of a team of forward thinking experts who will assist you as you build your technical skill set and knowledge of the valuation market.

    Your primary focus as a Business Development Manager will be to ensure the highest level of service delivery on all engagements as well as initiating and following through on business and client development.

    Responsibilities will include:
    • Creating platform for growth, developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets;
    • Preparing client proposals and leading client meetings;
    • Sustaining existing client relationships and developing internal relationships within the Swiss Appraisal, UK domestic and global network;
    • Undertaking valuation projects as part of a larger team of financial valuation experts and communicating the importance and implications of business and assets valuations;
    • Completing valuation projects and engagements on-time and on-budget;
    • Improving internal valuation procedures and processes;
    • Innovating and assisting in leading the industry in thought leadership and new service offerings.

    About you:
    The successful candidate will be highly analytical, have exceptional problem solving skills and an astute commercial mind set. You will have an enquiring mind as to how things work and be able to confidently communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and work effectively as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

    You will ideally have a valuation qualification and have completed a valuation, engineering, commerce or finance degree.

    • Minimum Years of Experience: 5
    • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, or related major
    • Certification(s) Preferred (not a must): CFA or ASA

    Your primary focus as an Account Manager will be to lead teams on projects and help managing the overall engagement with clients as well as developing Swiss Appraisal's business, brand and reputation.

    Responsibilities will include:
    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Supporting bid and sales activities
    • Preparing client proposals and leading client meetings
    • Undertaking valuation projects as part of a larger team of valuation experts and communicating the importance and implications of business and assets valuations;
    • Managing, developing and encouraging team members
    • Delivering valuation projects and engagements on time, within budget and in line with client expectations
    • Assisting in leading development activities and new service offerings.

    About you:
    The successful candidate will be highly analytical, have exceptional problem solving skills and an astute commercial mind set. You will have an enquiring mind as to how things work and be able to confidently communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and work effectively as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

    To qualify for the role you must have an expertise in or around one or more of the Finance Strategy disciplines, i.e. Modelling, Finance Diagnostic, Commercial Finance, etc. You will ideally have a valuation qualification and have completed a valuation, engineering, commerce or finance degree.

    • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, or related major
    • Certification(s) Preferred: Qualified / Part Qualified CFA/ASA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA is an advantage
